Getting started

Set up your portal

Updated October 18, 2026

Tendroom gives your business a private portal at its own address, such as yourbusiness.tendroom.com. You and your team use it for clients, invoices, bookings, galleries, schedules and more. This article covers everything from signing up to your first client.

Create your account

  1. On tendroom.com, select Get started.
  2. Enter Your name, your Email and a Password of at least 12 characters. Agree to the terms and privacy policy, then select Create account.
  3. Open the email from Tendroom and select Confirm my email. The link works for 24 hours. If it has expired, select Get a new link and sign up again with the same email.
  4. Sign in to set up your business.

Tell Tendroom about your business

Setup has five short steps. Use Next and Back to move between them.

  1. Tell us about your business: the business name, what kind of business it is, your website (optional), and how many people will sign in, including you. The price after your trial updates as you enter this.
  2. Pick your portal's address: the name before .tendroom.com. Use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. You see immediately whether the name is available.
  3. Which tools do you want?: the tools most businesses like yours use are already selected. You can turn tools on or off later, and request others, on the Tools page.
  4. Make it yours: your brand color and time zone.
  5. Look it over: check your answers, add a note if you like, and select Send for review.

Review by Tendroom

Tendroom reviews every new business and usually replies within two business days. While you wait, Change my answers lets you edit anything you sent.

When your portal is ready, you receive an email with an Open your portal button. If this is your first Tendroom business, your one-month free trial starts that day, with no card required. If Tendroom can't set up your business, the email explains why, and you can send a new request from tendroom.com.

Guided setup

The first time the owner opens the portal, a guided setup of about 5 minutes covers your look and your business details, then your contact page and your team if you use Inquiries and Directory. You can skip steps, or select Finish later to leave it.

Choosing not to have a contact page turns the Inquiries tool off. You can turn it back on from Tools at any time.

The Get set up list

Until your setup is complete, owners and admins see a Get set up list on the portal's Home page. Which steps appear depends on your tools.
