Your business
Use your own domain
Updated October 18, 2026
Your portal's address is yourbusiness.tendroom.com. With a custom domain, it can also use an address on your own domain, such as portal.yourbusiness.com, and the contact page, invoices and galleries you send use it too. Owners and admins set it up under Settings → More → Custom domain.
Availability
Custom domains aren't open to every business yet. If you'd like one, email support@tendroom.com. Once it's turned on for your business, Custom domain appears under Settings → More.
Connect your domain
- Enter Your website's domain, such as yourbusiness.com.
- Choose the Address for your portal: portal.yourbusiness.com, clients.yourbusiness.com, or another name (not www, which belongs to your website). Select Connect domain.
- Where you manage your domain (usually where you bought it, or your website builder), add the DNS record the page shows: a CNAME record with the Name and Target given. Where to add the DNS record has steps for common providers.
- Return to Tendroom and select Check status.
DNS changes can take a few hours. Tendroom also checks every night, and the page shows Live once the domain is connected. A domain that isn't connected within 14 days is removed, and you can start again.
If your domain already has a record with the name you chose, keep that record. Remove the domain in Tendroom and connect an unused name instead.
Once it's live
Links you send from then on use your domain, and your tendroom.com address keeps working. A business can have one custom domain.
If you remove the domain, links you've already sent with it stop working immediately. Send your clients new links.
